Junior Associate – Distressed Debt and Special Situations, Copenhagen

We are looking for a Junior Associate to join our investment team at Capital Four in Copenhagen, a leading global specialty asset management firm. The role sits within Distressed Debt and Special Situations, which currently consists of three full-time professionals and three students.

The core focus of the team is credit analysis of companies with debt trading significantly below par. As part of the team, you will get experience with fundamental company analysis, financial modeling, valuation, capital structure analysis and corporate financial restructurings. In addition, you will become familiar with various financial instruments and get insights into a wide range of companies in various industries globally.

Job description

  • Work with Investment Analysts to build financial models to support investment decisions.
  • Assist on in-depth company and market analysis of potential investment targets.
  • Various other ad-hoc assignments related to credit selection. 
  • The position is estimated to be 15 hours a week with a flexible attitude towards working hours.

About you

  • Attending a relevant university or business school with great academic credentials.
  • Great quantitative skills and attention to detail.
  • A structured working approach, and an ability to consistently deliver high quality results.
  • Understanding of basic financial statements.
  • Team player with an ambitious and proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and high proficiency in written and spoken English.
