Junior Associate – Trading & Portfolio Optimization Team
We are looking for a motivated student to join the Trading and Portfolio Optimization Team. Trading is responsible for all trading related activities, representing Capital Four when speaking to the sell-side, trading cost analysis among many other tasks. The Portfolio Optimization Team oversees the portfolio implementation and optimization across High Yield, Leverage Loans, Multi Asset, and Private Debt mandates.
As a Junior Associate, you will gain hands-on experience by supporting the Trading and Portfolio Optimization Team. You will have the unique opportunity to learn to code and directly contribute to the creation of tools designed to optimize our processes. Furthermore, you will acquire an understanding of how investment decisions are successfully implemented in the real world across diverse financial instruments.
Job description
- Assist with reporting, automation, pricing, presentations, analyses and recurring tasks.
- Becoming an expert in coding by being responsible for developing, maintaining and updating our internally developed tools. We code in Python, VBA, PowerBI to name a few.
- Handling various ad hoc requests from internal teams as well as external parties.
- The position is estimated to be 15 hours a week with a flexible attitude towards working hours.
About you
- Studying economics, finance, mathematics, data science or equivalent with at least 3 years left and great academic credentials.
- Have acquired quantitative and coding abilities through your education and/or previous work.
- Great analytical abilities, a keen eye for details and a problem-solving mindset
- Have collaborative attitude with a proactive and driven mindset.
- High proficiency in written and spoken English.
